Bervie angling club. These permits are available to any LDAA Member and
give us access to the Bervie clubs beat which includes the foreshore at
Inverbervie. They will, in return, have access to our beat on

National Adult Salmon Sampling Project
The Esk District Salmon Fishery Board and Marine Scotland
Science in Montrose are engaged in a project with certain beats to sample
salmon caught by anglers on the North and South Esks.
As part of the sampling, a small number of fish will be
anaesthetised to allow more detailed sampling. Fish that have been
anaesthetised must not be eaten due to the toxic nature of the anaesthetic, and
these fish will be marked using floy tags (see attached photo), a small strip
of plastic injected into the back of the salmon near the dorsal fin.
Please note any floy-tagged
fish are NOT to be consumed if they have to be killed.
